WMA is better than ”iTunes”?

ExtremeTech has has this articles which makes a strange argument about WMA being than iTunes. I thought iTunes was a software. I think the article meant more like AAC, the format for downloads from the iTunes store. MacMerc points out that is not true according to the data available here.
