Woven is weaving 10-Gb/S switches

Woven Systems, a stealth mode company started by Caspian alumni is cooking up a massively scaleable 10-Gbit/s switch to compete with InfiniBand. This is focused on the data centers, a market that has been energized by Cisco’s acqusition of TopSpin. I think the market for these products is pretty limited, as shown by the demand for infiniband products. So far the company is self funded. Light Reading has more!
