Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland was taken over by Bhangramuffins this past weekend. No wonder the kilts were flying, scotch was being downed and tumbi was thumping! The Scotsman has a nice little profile of the man behind the show, Kam.

bq. “I started off running a regular house night called Phenomenon about four years ago at the old Honeycomb club on Blair Street,” he explains. “When the club closed to become the Peppermint Lounge I wanted to try something a bit different.” In his search for inspiration, Kam found himself drawn to Glasgow. “The Asian music scene there was in disarray,” he recalls. “There was also a stigma attached to Asians as they had a bit of a reputation for causing trouble at some nightclubs.”
