The newest R&B sensation on the block Raghav, is getting a lot of airplay and a lot of coverage in the media. I have put together a nice little collection of some of the better interviews.
On Jay Sean: I can understand why people are making such comparisons. I think there is room for many other Asian artists to make the Top 10; I mean there is no reason why us two should be the only two singers to do it. So to be honest with you the comparisons don’t really bother me. We are two unique artists with our own styles.
On His Album slotted for release this summer: I hope people have the highest expectations as I am putting my heart and soul into it. It features production from Sly & Robbie, Incognito, Mushtaq and Iceberg Slim. I don’t really want to get ahead of myself but there are many other people in the pipeline but we’ll let that happen when it happens.
bq. barfi Culture:
On the back story about his debut single: “Yeah there is a story behind Can’t Get Enough. It’s set in my high school years, and is directed at this girl I was feenin’ at the time. I met her at the library and she gave me her number which I called and left a message. But she didn’t call back till 2 weeks later because she had some problems with her phone or something. During that two week period I wanted to let her know I couldn’t get enough of her, and this track is basically about my feelings during that time.”
On Amitabh Bachchan and Bollywood: “I love Bollywood, no doubt about it. Specially all those movies from the 80s. And the old movie soundtracks with Amitabh Bachchan”, he says. For those curious, his favourite movie is ‘Shakti’, while his favourite Bollywood soundtracks are ‘Coolie’ and ‘Sharaabi’.
