A-Rod is yet to earn his Yankee stripes, but I think Yankee Fans are being too hard on the guy. He is having a bad month, but NY Media is just going crazy, not to mention the Boston-biased ESPN.
Rodriguez went 1-for-15 with 10 strikeouts this weekend against the Angels, capping a disastrous six days for the reigning American League MVP. A-Rod went 1-for-5 with three strikeouts Sunday, snapping an 0-for-13 skid with his third-inning single. During the Yankees’ six games in Seattle and Anaheim, Rodriguez went 2-for-20 with 14 strikeouts.
Here is what’s going on with another big time slugger making big time dollars – Albert Pujols.
Pujols had been an 0-for-16 slump at home, the longest drought of his career according to the Elias Sports Bureau, before reaching on an infield hit in the third.
Maybe we should take a different tact – cheering him on when things are rough – and get him back on track. After all he is on our team!
I agree. I think A-Rod has earned his stripes. He is the reigning MVP.
Go Pujols!
