Earlier this month I interview Max Levchin, co-creator of PayPal and founder of Slide. The videos — Part 1 and Part 2 – are posted here on GigaOM. In this two part interview, he offers some crucial tips and talks about Silicon Valley’s lack of ambition. I hope you enjoy his story. Here are a couple of standout lessons he shared:

  • Being an immigrant, was a great way to prepare for the entrepreneurial life – pointing out that when you can re-program yourself, pivoting your business is just part of your overall tactics.
  • Advertising is a scale business.
  • The platform judges you by what value you add to them, not the other way around.
  • Entrepreneurs can’t afford to be whiners. Startups are about moving onwards.
