It is a season for jolly and giving and in the spirit of the season, I am helping raise funds for the UCSF Children’s Hospital. Salesforce.com founder Marc Benioff and his wife Lynne, recently donated $100 million to this fine effort for a campus that is much needed by San Francisco Bay Area community.
As you know, UCSF holds a very sweet place in my heart – literally and figuratively. I hope you can take a few minutes and join me in this effort. I know we all have busy lives, but this is a cause whose impact is going to be timeless and is going to make sure that we are giving back to the community. Donate whatever you can and help the kids. If you can convince two more people to donate $25, it would be a massive boost to this effort. Click here to donate.
Upon completion in 2014, the 183-bed UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital at Mission Bay will set a new standard for patient- and family-centered health care, safety, sustainability and translational medicine. The new facility will offer urgent/emergency care, pediatric primary care and specialty outpatient services; and, with 45 more beds than the current hospital and an on-site helipad, there will be room to grow and serve more critically ill children who otherwise might not have access to lifesaving care.
