01M OneMoment is a foldable shoe from a Spanish company – Figtree Factory Studio – that costs about 10 Euros and is fully biodegradable.
“1 mm thickness for the shoe body, and 2mm for the sole, at least 3mm less than the traditional shoe. This enables higher comfort, skin tight feeling and correct breathing all at the same time. (via )
The soles are non-slip and have ventilation. They look cool and I am thinking very useful for wearing around home. They look very much like a pair of socks!
Time for Crocs and Vibrams to move over?
Thankfully one rarely sees Crocs anymore…
These sort of remind me of Sandsocks which are worn by beach volleyball players on rough or dangerous sand. They are surprisingly durable, but don’t give the protection of real shoes. They’ve been around for awhile, but never set any trends in a rather trendy part of Southern California.

But recommended if you like to be nearly barefoot, don’t need the insulation and want your feet to breathe and can deal with limited foot protection. OK for walking around or playing volleyball, but terrible for running.
Thanks Steve — those look pretty interesting shoes
if they are biodegradable they are hecka eco. you are green after all
Yup they are biodegradable Katie
They look like Japanese Tabi – they’ve been around for centuries.

Could wear them at the spa, in shower, sauna? Anti-slip would work well.
