I like this $65 dollar iPad cover from the Good Flock which is based in Portland, Oregon. It is called iWooly and it comes with a small pocket for Field Notes notebook. Best part you can cram your iPad 2/3 with smart cover. I like the contrast between the tan leather pocket and the gray wool.

We must have similar tastes! I love the wool felt material and it’s pretty hard wearing too. I bought a similar sleeve from Byrd and Belle and it’s done a great job protecting my iPad 2 over the past year.
By the way – Field Notes notebooks rule and their pencils are excellent too. (I’m a good notebook and pencil fanatic as well someone who appreciates top notch slate board and chalk)
I like my fountain pens and paper that is smoother than Field Notes. Just a preference on paper 🙂
