Nixon, well known for their relatively affordable quartz watches have made their foray into the the world of mechanical watches with the launch of what they call the Elite range. They have now launched this new $1200 40mm watch, called The Supremacy. It has all the usual trimmings for a watch of this type. It is my kind of watch – simple, elegant and without much fuss. Interestingly, I have observed many quartz-only brands, Tsovet for example, are now moving into mechanical watches. It is a smart move – make your brand popular with lower cost offerings and them move upstream.
