Highly doubt this stat chart. Could it be that iPAD’s safari browser ID is one large number versus the aggregate of other tablets use various browsers (as per Android’s user base), causing fragmentation or mis-labeling as desktop browser IDs??
With all the low cost Android tablets out there, especially in budget minded countries, I would expect the iPAD #’s to be a decreasing trend line, maybe even close to 80/20.
OnSwipe needs to clarify on their site that they capture all the fragmented browsers regardless of tablet maker. I love my iPAD but I find my Xoom more convenient to use (stock browser and Chrome for Android) and cheaper to throw in the car or to travel with, with less worry about theft.
