The Facebook Hearings have kept me distracted, and I wasn’t doing much other than keeping up with the torrent of news and hot takes. Not much was said, not much was done. No surprise, as I have written in the past. It was a great exercise in “how to read between the lines.” However, I have finally caught up with my reading. Here are few stories that I think are worth reading.

Coachella, Underground: It is Coachella weekend, and a good time to shift attention from the parties and music to local Latino communities and how they are living in fear and uncertainty in current times. A great read.

99Luftballons: Some of us who are old enough to remember the 80s, always had this distinct idea of place and time, and it was West Germany. This is such a beautiful trip back into that era from someone who grew up in West Germany.

The Clock is ticking: Insider the worst U.S. Maritime Disaster in Decades. Great read.

The Killers of Kiev: The Ukraine capital is where assassins and intrigue roam free, and if you are on the wrong side of Vladimir Putin, this is terrible news.

Inside the booming black market for Spotify playlists: Honestly, I had no idea, but this is how the music world works now. Is this the new payola?

Why disco should be taken seriously. As someone who grew up listening to BeeGees and was addicted to the Saturday Night Fever, I am in hundred percent agreement with Arwa Haider.

How GE went from America icon to an astonishing mess: This story gives brings you up to date on GE and how it has lost its way.

ICYMI: Here are some pieces I have written recently: HappinessMr. Zuckerberg goes to DC; Why we love the underdogs and Phone Bored.
