I could use the rain as an excuse, but that would be a cop-out. I did go out often, and there were opportunities to capture images. The rain itself gave me so many opportunities. Even when I did find images that spoke to me, I couldn’t get things to work out.
Usually, my everyday camera, aka the iPhone 15 Pro Max, helps me get out of the rut. But not this week. My utter lack of creativity spoke to the real problem. I felt quite uninspired and uncreative this week.
In a way, I am glad that my 366 project allows me to cheat a little — aka share unshared photos from my archives with fresh edits. So that’s exactly what I did this week. I edited them about a week ago when I was experiencing a burst of creative energy.
When pondering over the week, I started to see how this project is going to help me evolve my creative process and will force me to get out there every day. The creative process is very much like any other process — you have to work on ‘reps.’ It’s not too different from physical exercise — I fall out of habit, and it becomes harder to get back on the horse. But once you do, you don’t want to stop. The more you repeat, the easier it gets, and the easier it gets, the more you want to work on it.
When it comes to physical training, I have a simple hack — I have to walk 3 miles every day. Every third day, I have to do some strength training. I fell off that wagon in November when I was unwell. So, to get back on track, I have started walking down the stairs every day — that’s about four to five times a day, and then topping it off with three miles of walking. I have eased back into the routine.
This morning, I spent my time trying to figure out a similar project-within-a-project that would force me to get out there every day — even if the photos might not be perfect. Let’s see what happens next. For now, enjoy these seven photos.
If you have any desire to buy one of these prints, you can order them from the 366 Project page.

These are absolutely amazing. No. 11 reminds me of a snowy scene from an old western movie for some reason – as if the main characters just made it out of a battle and now have to recuperate & take refuge from the weather in an old barn. Love it.
