  1. I just wanted to say hello from Chicago, where 1/4th of the Major League Basebal playoff teams hail from. 🙂 Good luck in Boston and try to remember – not everyone is a classless Red Sox fan in Boston. Like the front desk staff at the hotel, or at the airport. Other than that, you’re on your own.

  2. Red Sox Nation is everywhere. You don’t have to “come to Red Sox Nation”. It’s been surreal these last few years having Mets fans publically proclaim themselves part of Red Sox Nation because, after all, beyond Red Sox fans, who hates the Yankees more than Mets fans?

All good fun until someone takes it too seriously and embarrasses themselves or their team and its fans. I assure you some of us up here in Boston are as open, friendly and kind to New York fans as some New York fans are to Boston fans. Enjoy the trip!

  3. Welcome to my neck of the woods – OK, so I live in Worcester, close enough. 🙂

BTW, ‘berth’ not ‘birth’. Though the latter produces an amusing mental image. 😉

  4. Om – On behalf of displaced Red Sox fans everywhere, please enjoy your visit to the capital of Red Sox Nation. I’m sorry the Yanks didn’t get in. Seriously. Yanks-Sox is better than any other possible postseason series.
