Parents love GPS-based location services

Disney Mobile, a MVNO, which has been in business for a year, says nearly 30% of its subscribers use GPS location-tracking services once every other day, and about 70% come from the handset. 56 percent of Disney Mobile subscribers are adults … I like that… who wouldn’t want a Goofyphone. Anyway they plan to sell 3G handsets in a year.

  1. More funny- I started http://www.gpsmykid.com about a month ago and am markteing on less than a shoe string budget. I am waiting for the train load of clicks to roll through my blog. But honestly the blog i’m using doesn’t show me a way to add monetizing links, duh. Will have to switch gears and go fishing for the GPS wanting parents. Appreciate any tips.

  2. I wonder, kids being more tech savy then their parents, what kind of services will come about that thwart these type of services. GPS is a double edge sword, it can help parents but it can also stop a little bit fun we are having on the side. (I cannot imagine my wife tracking me all over)
