Update: Chris Alden says the company is migrating servers and doing an upgrade which has taken a lot longer than it should. So its in a coma, not dead. Disregard what you read from this point forward.
Less that a month after Six Apart acquired Rojo Networks, the Rojo.com site seems to have been put down like a filly with a bad leg. ChangingWay says the site has been down for days now. If this is an outage, then its gone on too long.
If its not, then its quite contrary to what folks from Six Apart and Rojo has said at the time of acquisition. There were plans to spin off Rojo.com into a separate company that would go out and raise capital to stay in business. “The service is going to stay up, and we are going to use the code in some our other products,” Barak Berkowitz, Six Apart CEO had said.
I wonder if they’re migrating to Six Apart servers…
As we’ve been saying for a while, we are pushing out a major release in mid-September. Well, this is it. It’s taken longer than we anticipated but will be up tonight. Your headline is way off base.
Hi Om,
We’re working on bringing it back up right now. The outage did go on for longer than it should have (our fault) but we’re definitely not dead.

Andrew & Chris,
the entry has been updated to reflect that. Sorry about that but a couple of days outage gets the keyboards tapping…
