Mobiletracker notes that Samsung was the #2 phone maker in the world at the end of Q3 2004 with 13.% market share, behind Nokia which is down to 30.9%. The company has zoomed past Motorola, which despite a bevy of new phones is losing market share and at present has about 13.4% of the total shipments. I feel that by end of the fourth quarter the two companies might be running neck to neck in terms of total sales.
