Skype No Good For Conference Calls
Nick Aster: Skype dials through ok, but when it comes time to use their dial-pad to enter the conference code, it fails to work about 50% of the time. Sometimes it’s a total loss, as in the 20+ times I tried to get it to work tonight. I think this bug is related to the length of the tones the dial pad sends.
I’ve done several recent conf calls with Skype to China and have had no real issues (except occassional static). Overall it’s worked pretty well.
Indeed the dialpad rarely works for conference-calls. Have reported this issue, yet there has been to-date neither a response to the problem nor a visible resolution!
