    Unless skype releases versions of its core closed-source library for the combination of CPU architectures/embedded OS (which is similar to what they’re running away from by open sourcing the Linux client’s UI), this is a pipe dream. Skype does have already an ARM-port but who knows whether they would make that available …
    Distributing binary libraries in the fragmented embedded Linux ecosystem is a difficult venture …
