  1. Respecting his privacy and saying some very meaningful prayers are what he and the family need right now – say no more till summer. I think 99.9% of those of us in technology feel the same way.

  2. All this about Steve is just silly.

I wish him the best health-wise. That said, as much as fans and investors would like to think that Jobs *is* the company, Apple is a well-oiled machine with many product lines that will continue to be successful even if the guy wasn’t involved at all.

Make no mistake, Jobs is brilliant and he’s an innovative businessman, but there are far more brains behind Apple’s success than just his, and there always has been.

  3. I wish Steve a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing a healthy Steve Jobs in the future, whenever that may be. Take your time Steve, get well soon.

    Everything else is just trivial.

  4. The good news is that he appears to be leaving Temporarily. The better news is that he still can decide (i.e., he is not incapacitated).

BTW, take a look at Giga Om’s Blog:

Through my family business I have a unique view on Hi-Tech folks’ decisions about their own Health-care.

The culture Top-Down is get generally work done, get more work done, get it done Now, and don’t complain.

IF one is part of this mind-set,
then GIGA OM’s BLOG cited above.

    Be Well All,

  5. I consider myself an Apple fan and have been reading a lot about it for the past many years. I do feel something is really serious on Jobs side and the problem is more severe then we can imagine. But anyways I wish him speedy recovery and best wishes.

  6. @SD

Part of actually admiring someone and their work is also giving them room to live their lives. I just can’t imagine what his family is going through right now while we have lame-ass talking heads debate the issue on television. It is incredible….

  7. he should join board of director and move away from day to day operations while being involved overall direction of company and find worth a worthy ceo
