Here is the latest from the Silicon Valley grapevine – the ultimate networking maverick, Tony Li, is leaving Cisco. Again! He had rejoined Cisco only a few months ago. He sent out an email to others at Cisco. Right now, file this in “rumored” category, but be assured, more to follow!

Who is stealing him this time around? Won’t be Procket. Juniper is doubtful. Perhaps a stealth network startup?
still working the phone. not sure. apparently he is going to be using a mac
May be Stoke, given its connection to Procket? Or is that the reason it can not be it?
If Stoke is what I think it is, I would guess it is too telco signaling oriented to be interesting enough for a Tony Li.
The requirements for that problem space are fairly well known. The solution is a matter of implementation and execution. Not much magic involved.
i don’t think it is stoke, but maybe he is cooking up something new. still no update.
He founded Portola Networks.
