One wonders why they didn’t initially have e911, considering that each companies circuit switched buisness has had it for years? Almost makes you think, without government regulation, telcos would sell you stuff that was actively harmful . . .

Is it creative to clone a feature you already have? I would argue that not offering E911 was there creative, albeit stupid, thinking.
