Why OpenStack Matters: Cloud Insiders Weigh In

  1. The downside of OpenStack and all the ‘cloud enabling’ products is that you will have a glut of inferior quality infrastructure put to work and marketed as ‘clouds’ and the consumer will have no easy way of differentiating the quality providers from the ‘chancers’.

I know this can be said of any enabling technology that’s web-driven. What’s needed is a trusted broker who integrates with a community of providers, but understands the SLA’s and quality differentiators of each one and can provide the level of service each individual customer needs.
